Tras muchos años coincidiendo en diversos proyectos, producciones y grabaciones para otros grupos y solistas, a finales de 2010 The Calembours toma consistencia y quedan cimentadas las bases de la propuesta musical que quieren llevar a cabo.
Stay [EP], el primer trabajo de The Calembours, es la avanzadilla del que será su primer álbum, cuyo lanzamiento está previsto a finales de 2011.
La música de The Calembours se nutre de muy diferentes estilos sin abandonar en ningún momento la esencia del rock. El concepto clásico de canción se combina con juegos rítmicos y melodías pop sin prescindir de las guitarras más garajeras.
The members of The Calembours (Marc Cuevas, Valenti Adell, Jordi Fils, Toni Vall) are old acquaintances of the Barcelona music scene. After many years working together on several projects, productions and recordings for other artists, at the end of 2010 the idea of forming a band takes shape, and the basis for the music they will develop gets its start.
Stay [EP], the first work of The Calembours, comes in advance of what will be their first full length, to be released in late 2011.
The Calembours’ music draws from many different styles without leaving the essence of rock. The concept combines classic songs with pop melodies and unusual rhythms, with garage guitar sound always present.
